We are looking for a confident Maintenance Assistant to carry out a range of day-to-day maintenance tasks in order to ensure the hospital is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Harrow.
You will be working 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday) - (8am - 4pm) or (9am - 5pm)
Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
Our acute in-patient psychiatric services offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment for individuals with a wide range of psychological and emotional problems, including those who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
Your Day-to-Day...
Undertake day-to-day maintenance and planned remedial works to keep plant, services and vehicles in working order, keeping records of call-outs and routine checks as directed.
Carry out a range of tasks including decorating, basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
Maintain equipment, services & vehicles
Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards
Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.
You are...
Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years
Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry
Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
