I am seeking 2 warm, reliable, and dedicated full-time live-in PAs to support me in my home alongside my much-loved indoor bunny Cookie. I would look to employ two PAs so I can rotate them and then always have someone at home with me.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys caring, values companionship, and understands the importance of creating a safe, calm, and supportive home environment.

A genuine love for animals is essential. My indoor bunny is a huge part of my life and is treated very much as a family member. The PAs will need to be happy caring for the bunny, including feeding, helping keep its living area clean and comfortable, and assisting with picking the bunny up/bringing the bunny over to me so I can carry out hands-on care, including snuggles and cuddles. This is not a small part of the role, so being a true animal lover is very important. Please note that hay may also need to be handled, so this role may not be suitable for those with hay or animal-related allergies.

This is a live-in role with sleeping nights as part of the working pattern. Depending on health needs, there may be some occasions when additional support is required during the night.

This role would suit someone calm, caring, patient and compassionate, who enjoys creating a safe and comfortable home and who truly loves animals. I am looking for someone who can help me to be as independent as I can within my home.

If you are looking for a meaningful role where your support really matters, this could be a wonderful opportunity.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Moving and handling
- Administration
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Companionship
- Looking after pets
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance
- Day-to-day duties also include helping with domestic tasks around the home, preparing meals and drinks, providing personal care when needed, and of course providing care for my Bunny.
- I will also need help with admin duties such as making phone calls to GP's, chasing appointments, replying to emails, and speaking to other professionals over the phone as I find these duties at the moment to much to be able to handle on my own.
- There may also be times when you are required to use a hoist so previous experience and training on this would be ideal.
- Cameras are in place in the home to support safety, guidance, and reassurance for both the client and the PAs.
- Being able to drive and having the use of their own car would be highly desirable to be able to get me to appointments or to a and e in the case of an emergency.

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Able to tolerate the employer smoking in the workplace
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Happy to work in a smoking environment
- Must be an animal lover and able to help with my bunny’s care – guidance provided on this
- I am looking for a PA who is Empathetic and understanding of my struggles day to day. I am also looking for someone who is proactive and who will help me to be as independent as I can within my home.
- Take initiative when necessary would be great to help me as I am currently bed bound but would like this to change if I have the right support and things in place.
- Please note that hay may also need to be handled when caring for her bunny, so this role may not be suitable for those with hay or animal-related allergies.

Notes:
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.

If you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives.
