Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for a QHSE Adviser to join a well-established engineering organisation based near Ipswich on a permanent basis.
This role offers a varied mix of operational and administrative responsibilities, working closely with the Group QHSE Manager to promote and embed a positive Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture across the business.
Reporting to the Group QHSE Manager, the QHSE Adviser will support all QHSE-related activities across the site, ensuring compliance, effective risk management and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of QHSE policies and procedures
• Assisting with the administration and ongoing development of Integrated Management Systems and external accreditations
• Conducting risk assessments and hazard identification, including COSHH and significant hazards
• Monitoring compliance with HSE legislation and relevant standards, keeping up to date with regulatory changes
• Supporting and undertaking internal QHSE audits and tracking actions to completion
• Maintaining emergency response procedures and documentation
• Promoting QHSE training, awareness and engagement across the business
• Supporting accident, incident and near-miss investigations and implementing preventative actions
• Advising on health and safety requirements for work equipment, overseeing inspections, testing and records
• Supporting quality control and quality improvement activities, using KPIs to measure performance
• Ensuring environmental compliance and supporting sustainability initiatives
• Providing baseline cover during the QHSE Manager’s absence

Skills, Experience & Qualifications required:
• Proven QHSE experience in a similar role, especially quality auditing
• Recognised Health & Safety qualification and ISO and/or internal auditing qualification would be advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 advantageous
• Training or coaching qualification advantageous
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
