Summary

Receptionist

Location: Manchester
Employment Type: Temporary minimum of 4 weeks.

Hourly Rate £13.02 plus holiday pay, 35 hours per week
Hours: 0830 to 1600 Monday to Friday.

About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Receptionist to join our Occupational Health Centre in Manchester. This is a customer-focused, front-of-house role responsible for creating a positive first impression for all visitors, clients, and staff. You will support the smooth running of the centre by managing reception activities, coordinating appointments, and providing general administrative support to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities
*Front of House & Customer Service
*Greet all visitors, clients, and employees in a warm and professional manner.
*Manage check-in and check-out procedures, including confirming appointments and directing visitors to the correct department.
*Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and enquiries, providing accurate information or redirecting as appropriate.
*Maintain a tidy, welcoming, and safe reception area.
*Schedule and manage appointments for clinicians and occupational health staff.
*Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in line with centre procedures and data protection requirements.
*Support with preparing paperwork, forms, and files for assessments, health checks, and clinical appointments.
*Process incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and correspondence.
*Coordinate room bookings and ensure clinicians have required resources for appointments.
*Assist with monitoring stock levels of reception and clinical stationery and reorder when necessary.
*Ensure visitors adhere to centre protocols, including health, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
*Work collaboratively with the Occupational Health team to support daily centre operations.

Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience in a reception, front of house, or customer-facing admin role (healthcare or clinical environment desirable but not essential).
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
*Confident using Microsoft Office and booking/administration systems.
*Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a busy environment.
*Commitment to confidentiality and data protection standards.
