Summary

This role is open to female applicants only due to a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. The role involves providing personal care and support to female service users where privacy and dignity must be maintained.



We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to join our team in Arundel,



JOB SUMMARY:

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals with various needs, including personal care, meal preparation, and behaviour management. You will work in a person-centred approach, promoting independence and socialisation, while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.







KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide personal care and practical support to individuals with a range of needs and disabilities

Support clients with medication management, meal preparation, and daily living tasks

Encourage engagement in activities that promote independence, social interaction, and mental stimulation

Manage challenging behaviours with patience, understanding and professionalism.

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Support individuals to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as required





REQUIREMENTS:

Health and Social Care Level 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent experience (preferred)

Previous experience in a similar role preferred

Knowledge of Autism, Mental Health, and/or Learning Disabilities

Ability to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and patience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

First Aid certification (desirable)

Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, evenings, and weekends

Valid UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle
