Job Title: Credit Control Manager

About the Role
We’re bringing our finance teams together in one central head office, creating a shared finance function for the future – a single
hub for stronger financial thinking.
We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control function within the Finance Shared Services team
at our Head Office in Dunfermline. This is a key leadership role responsible for safeguarding cash flow, managing credit risk, and
driving continuous improvement across credit control operations.
As Credit Control Manager, you will lead, develop, and motivate a team of Credit Controllers, while working closely with the
senior finance team and operational stakeholders to ensure robust credit policies, strong customer relationships, and effective
debt recovery. This is a highly visible role requiring a confident leader with strong commercial judgement and the ability to
influence at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Credit Control team, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and supporting ongoing development.
* Own the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances and effective management of aged
debt.
* Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies, procedures, and controls to minimise credit risk and protect cash flow.
* Review and approve customer credit limits, assess credit risk, and manage escalations where payment issues arise.
* Partner with senior stakeholders across finance, sales, and operations to resolve complex disputes and drive payment
resolution.
* Produce and present aged debt analysis, cash flow forecasts, and performance reporting to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and relevant financial regulations.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a Credit Control leadership or management role.
* Strong understanding of credit risk management, cash flow optimisation, and debt recovery strategies.
* Demonstrated people management experience, with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at senior level.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer relationships with financial control.
* Experience using ERP systems; SAP or similar systems is highly desirable.
* Highly organised, resilient, and able to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
