Summary
Cera are recruiting Care Assistants (Nights) for our Extra Care service in Blandford Forum (DT11), Trailway Court. We're recruiting for part‑time and full‑time permanent positions. This is secure, rewarding work with good pay, excellent training, and no previous experience required.
Are you kind, people‑focused, and passionate about making a difference in someone's life? Then this could be the perfect role for you. No experience is needed — just the right values.
Extra Care units provide residents with their own self‑contained living space within a larger building, with care staff based on site to support them. As a Night Care Assistant in our Extra Care service, you'll help residents with varying needs to live as independently as possible, following personalised care and support plans.
Every client's needs are different. You may support with light household tasks, personal care, medication prompts, or simply offer a listening ear and companionship. Our carers often become a friendly, reassuring presence during difficult times. Caring isn't always easy, but it is incredibly meaningful — and families truly value the support you provide.
Night shifts are available, and you must be able to offer some weekend availability — either one weekend day each week or alternating weekends.
Our benefits include:
- Enhanced bank holiday pay
- Holiday pay and pension scheme
- Free DBS, company mobile phone and uniform
- Access to BHN Extras and eligibility for the Blue Light Card, offering thousands of discounts
- Savings on driving lessons, fuel, car insurance, vehicle maintenance, cycle hire and more
- Enhanced maternity (12 weeks full pay), paternity and parental leave
- Industry‑leading career development, including the Care Certificate and NVQs, with strong internal progression
- Wellbeing support including an employee assistance programme, mental health first aiders, healthcare cash plan, free eye tests and contributions towards glasses
- Extra earnings through our Care Friends referral scheme (£500 per referral)
