We are a family-run business offering comprehensive HGV and trailer repairs and maintenance for all makes and models of commercial vehicles.
Role Description
As our client base continues to grow, we are looking to recruit two full-time, on-site HGV Technicians in the Oldham/Middleton area. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing Heavy Goods Vehicles, and Trailers to Ministry standards.
Day-to-day tasks would also involve performing scheduled maintenance and preventive care, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, MOT Preps, all whilst using up to date latest diagnostic equipment. The role requires maintaining accurate records of repairs and parts replaced, ensuring all work adheres to safety and compliance standards. 45 hours per week. Excellent rates of pay for the right candidate.
Qualifications
• NVQ Level 3 qualification
• Class 2 licence (minimum requirement)
• Class 1 licence (preferred but not essential)
• Strong skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, workshop equipment, and repair manuals
• High attention to detail with the ability to follow planned maintenance schedules
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and repair record management
• Previous experience in a similar role or within the commercial vehicle industry is advantageous
