Our 7-year-old son is non-verbal and full of energy. and loves being outdoors, playing in water, climbing, and bouncing on trampolines. He is generally a happy and content child, but can occasionally experience episodes of pain, which may affect his behaviour.

Your main role will involve engaging him in activities he enjoys both at home and outside, ensuring his safety at all times and providing personal care assistance. It's important to be vigilant and proactive in keeping him safe, as he has little awareness of potential dangers. Additionally, you will provide reassurance and comfort during any episodes of pain or discomfort, helping him stay calm and happy.

We are looking for someone who is patient, energetic, and kind, with a genuine passion for working with children. Experience with children or individuals with additional needs is essential. You should be comfortable with providing personal care in a respectful and dignified manner, and able to stay calm and responsive during any challenging moments.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Employer does smoke but not in the house.
