Summary

The Digital Marketing Executive is an exciting new role within the SpecialEffect Fundraising and Communications Team. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing and developing SpecialEffect’s digital, email, and social media presence to increase engagement, reach new audiences, and deliver an excellent user experience. They will play a leading role in content planning, creating compelling digital content to engage supporters, service users, health professionals and other key audiences. They will also collaborate with the wider team to explore and assess new channels and ways to use digital platforms to raise awareness and funds.

What you’ll be doing:
• Help to develop and implement a strategy and plan to grow awareness and engagement from digital marketing activities.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day output and engagement across social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Bluesky, and LinkedIn.
• Create and co-ordinate a social media plan, working closely with colleagues to create and align activity across all channels.
• Optimise content for each social channel to foster best possible engagement and ensure that tone of voice across all content complies with our brand values and language guidelines.
• Collaborate on the development of our email marketing strategy, draft creative and engaging copy for marketing emails, and manage their scheduling, set-up and delivery.
• Oversee social media at external events, and support colleagues when they use the channels for events.
• Report on digital and social media activity performance, using social insights/analytics and utilising these to inform activities and develop recommendations for future campaign strategies.

What you’ll need:
• Experience of marketing and managing social media channels, and working on social media campaigns in a charity or comparable setting.
• Experience of editing and producing a variety of online content and/or digital communications (such as video/audio, infographics, and social media posts).
• To be confident in establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships with colleagues, supporters and other key stakeholders.
• Strong team player, with proven ability to work alongside colleagues when implementing change.
• A good understanding of the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Passionate about the work and mission of SpecialEffect.
