Summary

Early Years Educator – Before & After School Club and Holiday Club

Location: Hunts Grove Primary Academy, Harrier Way, Hunts Grove, GL2 4EP
Holiday Clubs: Hempsted, Gloucester, GL2 5LH.
On-site role (must be 18years old to be EYFS compliant)

Qualification Requirement:
Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above – ESSENTIAL

You are considered “qualified” if you have:
Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, Diploma), OR
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with EYFS training, OR
A qualification on the DfE Early Years Qualification List, OR
Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)

About the Role:

We are looking for a fun, caring and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our friendly team in our Before & After School Club and Holiday Club. You will help create exciting, safe and nurturing experiences for children, with a special responsibility for our preschool-aged and reception children as their Key Person. This role is extend or offering to preschool children within the community.

This is a term-time role with required availability during Easter and Summer holidays.

Your Role Will Include:
Key Person Responsibilities (Preschool and Reception Children)

*Be the Key Person for preschool and reception aged children, building warm, trusting relationships.
*Support children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence and development through play and care.
*Observe, support and celebrate children’s progress in line with the EYFS.

Play & Learning
*Plan and lead fun, creative and engaging activities (arts & crafts, outdoor play, games, messy play, role play and more!).
*Follow children’s interests and turn everyday moments into learning adventures.
*Help children feel safe, happy and excited to attend club.

Care, Safety & Wellbeing
*Keep children safe, supervised and supported at all times.
*Follow safeguarding, health & safety and behaviour policies.
*Support children with personal care where required.
*Prepare and serve healthy snacks and drinks.

Teamwork & Communication
*Work positively as part of a supportive team.
*Communicate professionally with parents and carers.
*Attend staff meetings and contribute ideas for activities and improvements.

Working Hours:
Minimum of 16 hours over Term Time (Monday – Friday)
Morning: 7:15am – 9:00am & Afternoon: 3:00 – 6:00pm

Flexible days available.

Holiday Club:
Easter & Summer Holidays: availability required between 8:00am – 6:00pm
February, May & October: overtime hours available
