Up to £15.50 per hour DOE
Monday to Thursday 07.30am to 16.30 & Fridays 07.30 to 13.20pm
Standard hours 37.50 per week
Immediate Start
Our client is seeking a SHEETMETAL OPERATOR (CNC Press Brake) to join them on a temporary on-going basis. For the right candidate it could lead to a perm role.
• Setup and operation of the CNC Brake Press (training provided) including part operations, tool setup, machine processes, software control and part database management
• Perform internal maintenance tasks on the Brake Press as specified by check sheets and routine maintenance plans
• Reporting of any issues with the Brake Press to the sheet metal engineer or production manager
• Setup and operation of sheet metal workshop machinery (training provided)
• Successfully manufacture items to required specifications and known timescales
Accountable for ensuring all work and tasks carried out are completed to the highest quality standard
• Working towards production schedules to meet deadlines and targets as instructed
• Ability to undertake tasks as instructed across workshop production including raw material handling, deburring, part assembly, finishing operations and workshop housekeeping
CV must show:
• Ability to setup and operate CNC machinery and understand CNC operating software
• Ability to setup and use sheet metal and workshop tooling
• Competent to perform hands on/manual tasks
• Ability to read, understand and follow production documents, product layouts and
technical drawings
• Competent numeracy and literacy skills
• Able to follow instructions closely when given
• Able to work on own initiative
• Team Player
Candidates must hold:
• Passport or Birth Certificate with proof of National Insurance
