Summary
The Global Supply Chains Intelligence Programme (GSCIP) is a pioneering capability hosted in the Department for Business and Trade but funded cross-government by 10 partner departments. GSCIP combines commercial, government, and open-source datasets with novel data science and AI techniques to provide record-level insights and intelligence, offering unprecedented supply chain visibility. GSCIP is central to the newly formed Supply Chain Centre and to the Department for Business and Trade’s strategic priorities. GSCIP is increasingly recognised both across government and globally.
As a programme support officer, you will play a central role in keeping the Global Supply Chains Intelligence Programme running smoothly. You will support the programme manager in coordinating core programme activities, including risk tracking, planning, financial activities, alongside wider business support. You will provide essential governance, reporting, and administrative support across all aspects of programme. This is a varied and impactful role at the heart of a highly regarded, fast‑growing programme.
You will:
- Support on all aspects of programme management including planning, reporting, risk and issue tracking and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead onboarding for new users and maintain clear, up-to-date programme documentation.
- Lead on day‑to‑day financial administration, including handling supplier payments and helping to manage programme finances.
- Prepare meeting materials, packs, and other documentation to support governance and decision‑making across the programme.
- Provide wider business support, including adhering to departmental process, helping to integrate new starters into the team and dealing with human resource related queries.
- Act as an Information Manager by organising, maintaining, and improving our information management systems.
