Sense Scotland - Support Worker - 15 to 25 hours per week

Based in the Northfield area of Aberdeen City, we are looking for a special *Female Support Worker to support 2 wonderful people in their own homes. Both people are deaf and have learning disabilities and your role will be to support them to live life to the fullest. You will provide support with personal care, medication, and finances but that's just the start!

You'll be supporting a lady who absolutely loves to be pampered-think spa days and nail sessions! She also enjoys a variety of fun activities, from swimming and bowling to baking, family visits, and exciting trips away. To make these adventures possible, you'll need a full UK driving licence.

You'll also be supporting a fantastic gentleman who's full of energy and loves animals, socialising and staying active. Whether it's cycling, football or walking, he's always on the go. He has a great sense of humour, enjoys banter with his team, and likes to be included in all aspects of his support. He is very independent, and we encourage staff to help him maintain that independence.

Shift pattern:

>24 hour shifts (10am - 10am) including a sleepover
>5 hour mid-shift for activities
>8:30am - 4pm
>4pm - 8:30am including a sleepover
>Flexibility to work weekends and nights is important

What you will need to succeed:

>Hold a full UK driving licence (manual or automatic)
>Good team-working skills and a positive attitude are essential qualities
>Ability to communicate effectively and use your own initiative
>Strong work ethic and organised to support routines
>Able to prioritise and manage workloads
>Eager to develop
>A genuine passion for caring for others
>Patience and understanding


*This is a Female Support Worker role and for this position, female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
