Summary

Mechanical Estimator

Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE)
Location: Chelmsford - Office based (Flexible Working Possible)

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing and well-established business delivering high-quality commercial and retail projects.

This role would suit someone who is confident in mechanical estimating and is now looking to progress into a position with greater autonomy, responsibility, and influence, while still being fully supported by a team of highly qualified engineers and experienced business leaders.

The Role

• Preparing mechanical tenders for commercial and retail projects

  
  

• Typical tender values averaging around £2 million

  
  

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and client requirements

  
  

• Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates

  
  

• Working closely with engineers, commercial teams, and senior management

  
  

• Contributing to value engineering and tender strategy discussions

  
  About You

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator (or similar role)

    
    

  • Background in commercial and/or retail construction projects

    
    

  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services

    
    

  • Comfortable working with a degree of independence

    
    

  • Ambitious and keen to continue developing your career
