Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Directorate Co-ordinator to support the operational delivery of Head & Neck Services.
Working closely with the Directorate Manager, Group Manager and clinical teams, you will support the management of clinics, theatres, waiting lists and RTT performance, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and patients are seen in line with national and Trust targets.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting day-to-day management of clinics and theatre activity
Monitoring RTT pathways, waiting lists and DNA rates
Managing clinic templates and capacity using EPR and ERS
Supporting rota coordination and medical staffing records
Producing performance reports and activity data
Handling sensitive enquiries professionally and empathetically
Deputising for the Directorate Manager when required
About you:
You will have NHS experience within a patient access or directorate environment, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. A good working knowledge of EPR, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality are essential.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to service improvement within a busy surgical specialty.

To assist with the management, development and delivery of an effective patient and customer focused service for all stakeholders. This includes all outpatient areas, treatment areas in-patient and day case service provisions across the Head and Neck Service.
To assist the Group Manager and Directorate Manager across a range of duties as required.
To assist with the responsibility for certain delegated activities outside the Health Records remit.
To assist with the monitoring of the Directorate’s waiting lists. This will require working closely with the Directorate Management Team, to assist the implementation of strategies for meeting waiting list targets, bringing any areas of significant variance to the attention of the Directorate Management Team.
To assist with the monitoring of the performance of the Government/Trust targets.
To assist with clinic templates, liaising directly with the Consultants, and Medical Staff on the Trust’s CareFlow (EPR).
To keep robust records of annual leave and sickness records for the medical team.
