Speech & Language Teaching Assistant (SaLT TA) - SEN School - Swinton
Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm | £105 per day
A specialist SEN school in Swinton is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Speech & Language Teaching Assistant (SaLT TA) to support non-verbal pupils and work closely with on-site Speech and Language Therapists. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a structured and supportive SEN environment.
Role Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for non-verbal children
Provide 1:1 and small group support for non-verbal children

Work alongside Speech & Language Therapists (SaLT) delivering targeted communication interventions

Support pupils using PECS, Now & Next boards, visual timetables and AAC strategies

Encourage development of verbal communication, interaction and engagement

Support children with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)

Experience supporting children with SLCN, ASD or complex needs
