Summary


ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECT OFFICER - FIXED TERM
Hull City Council’s Warm Homes Team are looking for a passionate and motivated Energy Efficiency Project Officer for a temporary 6‑month secondment to help drive forward our ambitious plans to tackle fuel poverty, improve home energy standards, and support the city’s journey to Net Zero.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape high‑impact projects that make a real difference to residents’ lives by ensuring homes are warmer, safer, healthier, and more energy efficient.
As an Energy Efficiency Project Officer, you will play a leading role in developing, delivering and evaluating a wide range of energy efficiency and fuel poverty initiatives across the city. You will:

Deliver strategic and operational energy efficiency projects across Hull.
Manage the Warm Homes Referral Management System to ensure residents receive timely support.
Maintain the Council’s Energy Assessment Database, providing key EPC data to senior officers and services.
Lead communications, engagement campaigns and digital content showcasing the Warm Homes Team’s support.
Co‑ordinate the Affordable Warmth Strategy and lead the Affordable Warmth Steering Group.
Provide specialist advice to senior decision-makers, partners and stakeholders.
Identify new funding opportunities and support the preparation of major grant bids.
Deliver training to referral partners.
Support vulnerable and disabled residents with high‑quality energy efficiency and benefits advice.

This is a varied, people‑focused role combining project management, partnership working, data analysis, communications, and hands‑on support for residents.
