Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality home care services to clients in their own residences. Duties
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
Supporting clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
Administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records of care provided
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding where necessary
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
Assisting with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Updating care plans regularly in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure consistent quality of service
Experience
Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Knowledge of care plans and understanding of individual client needs is advantageous
Proficiency in IT systems for recording and updating client information
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving driving clients or equipment between locations
Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy when supporting vulnerable individuals
