About the Injection Moulding Technician Role
Are you an experienced Injection Moulding Technician looking for a stable, hands-on manufacturing role with long-term prospects? This is an opportunity to join a well-established UK manufacturer operating modern injection moulding processes in the plastics market within a structured, safety-focused environment.
You’ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, ensuring machines are set correctly, downtime is minimised, and quality standards are consistently met. This role has become available due to a long-serving technician stepping away for personal reasons, creating a genuine opening within a settled team.
What You’ll Do
As part of the production and maintenance function, you’ll support daily manufacturing operations by:
Setting, adjusting and optimising injection moulding machines to meet quality and output target
Carrying out full tool changes within the Injection Moulding department
Ensuring mould protection procedures are followed during tool removal
Completing regular quality control checks and maintaining accurate records
Restarting machines efficiently after tool, insert or colour changes with minimal scrap
Following process setting sheets and standard operating procedures
Supporting downtime reduction initiatives alongside Process Engineering and Production teams
Updating production monitoring systems with tool changes, breakdowns and process updates
You’ll work closely with Production Team Leaders, Process Engineers and Quality, reporting into site operations management.
What We’re Looking For in the Injection Moulding Technician Job
Essential
Hands-on experience with injection moulding machines
Basic robotics knowledge or exposure
Good written and spoken English
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Shift Pattern for this Injection Moulding Technician
Monday to Friday
Rotational shifts: 07:00–15:00 / 15:00–23:00 (weekly rotation)
