Summary
Secondary Teacher | Art and Design / Design and Technology – Carlisle
Humly is recruiting a Secondary Teacher of Art and Design / Design and Technology to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting after Easter and continuing for the full summer term. The role would suit a passionate and creative teacher who is confident delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 (predominantly) and 4, and who is committed to inspiring creativity, innovation, and practical skills in students of all abilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Planning and delivering engaging Art and Design and Design and Technology lessons
Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a main focus on KS3
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and practical skill development
Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Art and Design and/or Design and Technology at secondary level
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying abilities
A creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable teaching approach
A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Pay
Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
