We are recruiting Personal Care Assistantsto provide 2:1 support for a 28-year-old woman living independently in her own home. She has moderate learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and hypotonia.
The role focuses on promoting independence, safety and wellbeing at home and in the community. Support includes personal care, domestic tasks, and assisting with activities such as walking, swimming and shopping.She can present with challenging behaviour at times, so resilience, patience and emotional understanding are essential. Experience working with autistic individuals is preferred.You will be part of a staff team of 8, and we are looking to recruit both male and female Support Workers to maintain a balanced team.Hours and Pay
- 12-hour shifts, including nights (2:1 support)
- Up to 42 hours per week
- Day rate: £13.74 per hour
- Sleep-in rate: £12.21 per hour
- 5.6 weeks’ holiday per year (pro rata)
- Experience preferred, particularly with autism and challenging behaviour (training provided)
- A resilient, positive and caring approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Drivers preferred but not essential (mobility vehicle available)
