What you'll do

You’re joining a team that’s passionate about building on the foundations of our ‘one-bank’ approach to deliver simple, safe and secure solutions for NatWest Markets, enabling our people, clients and businesses to thrive.

Working in a permanent feature team, you’ll be developing knowledge of aspects of the associated platform across the disciplines of business, applications, data and infrastructure. You’ll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives.

You’ll also be:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining full‑stack .NET and React applications within an enterprise capital markets environment
  • Delivering technology solutions supporting market‑critical workflows across loans, bonds and structured finance
  • Translating business and product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
  • Building and supporting real‑time systems requiring high performance, resilience, and reliability
  • Developing and integrating REST and Graph QL APIs, collaborating across technology teams
  • Contributing to applications deployed via desktop container technologies such as Open Fin or Electron
  • Supporting the ongoing evolution of capital markets platforms aligned to business needs

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong full stack experience in software design and implementation, including being able to exploit programming languages to solve complex problems. You’ll also need to be capable of complex requirements analysis capture and validation against and with business and systems requirements.

Additionally, you’ll demonstrate:

  • Strong full‑stack enterprise development experience with .NET using C#, React, and TypeScript
  • Solid hands‑on experience with SQL Server, data modelling and performance optimisation
  • Experience designing and consuming REST and Graph QL APIs
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework, ASP.NET Core, and Windows Services
  • Strong understanding of async programming, microservices architecture, and real‑time systems
  • Experience with desktop container platforms such as Open Fin or Electron
  • Experience working in Markets technology, supporting loans, bonds, structured finance, or closely related asset classes
