We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at The Oldham Academy North. You will supervise classes during teacher absence, maintain a positive learning environment, and support students to stay engaged. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and keen to make a real impact in a secondary school setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task
- Deliver pre-set work and follow lesson plans provided by teaching staff
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment
Pay range: SCP 12-17 - £25,152.73 - £27,284.70 - FTE: £28,598.00 - £31,022.00 - Maternity Cover - 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educated to GCSE level (including English and Maths); A-levels or equivalent desirable
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting
- Confident, calm, and professional approach
- Ability to motivate and engage students
- Good organisational skills and adaptability
