Summary

Are you a creative, detail‑driven digital marketer with a passion for digital content and communications?
Hays Marketing is working in partnership with an organisation who are looking to appoint a Digital Marketing Assistant to join their team, which is a brand-new role. You will play a key role in bringing their brand to life across their website, social media channels and internal communications.
This opportunity would suit a graduate with internship experience or a junior marketing executive looking to grow their career. You'll enjoy a varied, hands‑on role supporting marketing campaigns, managing digital content, working closely with cross‑functional teams, and building experience across the full marketing mix.
What you'll be doingDigital & E‑Commerce

  • Website Management - Upload and manage products, refresh imagery and descriptions, and write SEO‑optimised copy to help drive organic traffic and improve user experience.
  • Content & Social Media - plan and maintain the digital content calendar, create and publish engaging social posts, and support community engagement. You'll also assist with marketing campaigns and events.
  • Creative Assets - Design eye‑catching website banners and social media graphics using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Communications & Administration

  • Inbox & Enquiries - responding to queries and providing ad‑hoc support to the sales team.
  • Internal Communications - Help produce the quarterly newsletter and employee engagement emails to keep teams informed and connected.
  • Quality Control - Proofread all marketing materials and liaise with external suppliers to ensure everything meets brand standards.

Reporting & Insights

  • Analytics & Reporting - Produce monthly reports on website and social media performance using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console and Hootsuite, helping the team understand what's working and where they can improve.


Essential skills

  • 1-2 years experience working in a digital marketing role
  • Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A collaborative, team‑focused approach
  • Basic knowledge of HTML is advantageous.

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign), Canva, Mailchimp and Hootsuite
  • Good general IT skills
