Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or Paramedic Practitioner to support high-quality clinical services within established primary care environments. The ideal candidate will be confident working autonomously, managing a wide range of presentations, and contributing to safe and effective patient care.

The post-holder will operate within modern, well-structured primary care settings that prioritise clinical quality, strong governance, and effective multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated, complex and routine presentations


  • Provide urgent, acute and routine care for adults and children


  • Perform advanced clinical examinations and interpret investigations to support decisions


  • Independently prescribe and formulate evidence-based management plans (where qualified)


  • Support long-term condition management and enhanced access services


  • Deliver high-standard mental health assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding activity


  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team


  • Contribute to governance, service development, audit and quality improvement


    Essential Requirements
    • Registered ANP/ACP/Paramedic Practitioner with relevant professional registration


    • Postgraduate qualification supporting advanced clinical practice


    • Experience within primary care, urgent care or similar healthcare settings


    • Ability to manage undifferentiated patients confidently and autonomously


    • Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic capability


    • Proficient with EMIS or similar clinical systems


    • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to high-quality patient care


      Desirable Experience
      • Previous work within large-scale or multi-site primary care organisations


      • Independent Prescribing Qualification (V300)


      • Experience in governance, compliance, or service improvement projects
