We are looking for an inspiring Coaching Trainer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment on our Level 5 Coaching Professional apprenticeships. You will guide up to 45 learners, supporting them to exceed their targets through engaging delivery, constructive feedback, and tailored support.

Main Purpose of Position

Learner Support & Achievement

  • Manage a caseload of up to 45 learners, ensuring retention, achievement, and timely completions.
  • Deliver engaging, innovative teaching, learning, and assessment sessions in line with programme requirements.
  • Provide personalised feedback, stretch, and challenge to support each learner’s progression.
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA), ensuring they are confident and well-equipped to succeed.
  • Support learners through coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice.

Teaching & Curriculum Development

  • Design, develop, and continually improve high-quality coaching and leadership resources.
  • Embed coaching models, mentoring approaches, and reflective practice into programme delivery.
  • Ensure teaching reflects current coaching practice, leadership theory, and sector trends.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with ESFA and awarding body requirements.
  • Utilise the OneFile e-portfolio system to track and support learner progress.
  • Contribute to self-assessment (SAR) and quality improvement planning (QIP).

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with the Quality team, colleagues, and employers to maximise learner success.
  • Engage employers in the learning process, ensuring programmes meet business needs.
  • Represent SCL at events, networking groups, and promotional activities.


Professional Development

  • Take ownership of your own CPD, staying up to date with sector developments and best practice.
  • Attend internal and external training events to enhance your skills
