Summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities Driver required to support the busy hospital in-house transport service operating from Royal Sussex County Hospital (Brighton) and Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath). Courier duties include multiple delivery and collections of pathology, pharmacy, medical records, pharmaceuticals and sterile services throughout East Sussex and West Sussex. All drivers are required to carry out electronic vehicle checks and complete necessary paperwork on a daily basis. General maintenance and cleaning of the vehicles is also compulsory on each shift you work. Communication The post holder will be required to work amongst a small team of drivers but predominantly alone. You will be responsible for reporting all vehicle defects to the relevant persons. You will come into contact with Trust staff, external stakeholders and members of the public. Vehicle safety and maintenance checks are key to the daily driving role.
