Summary
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team working across both our sites. Upper Thames Medical Group sites are: The Park Surgery- Cirencester Lechlade Medical Centre- Lechlade The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support in a busy medical environment. This role requires strong administrative and office skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring an organised calendar for healthcare providers.- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls to appropriate personnel.- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.- Process patient registrations and insurance information efficiently.- Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing as required.- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.- Keep the reception area tidy and organised, creating a pleasant environment for patients. Qualifications- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office software applications.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour.- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service to patients and their families.- Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage but not mandatory.
