Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse or physiotherapist to join the West Norfolk Respiratory & Oxygen Team. This is a highly specialised role working with people living with respiratory disease and/or requiring oxygen therapy in the community. The work is diverse across community, clinic and hospital settings with a strong team focus on holistic, patient centred care.

You will be required to work over a 5 day working week (Mon-Fri) and will be hard working, motivated and caring with excellent communication skills. You must hold a full and valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. There is a requirement to travel across West Norfolk daily and sometimes to travel to other localities.

You will act as an expert respiratory resource and support qualified health professionals, students and apprentices as required. This includes ad-hoc teaching. Staff development is actively encouraged and you will receive excellent peer support form a well-integrated established team passionate about delivering high quality respiratory care.

The applicant will have proven respiratory experience in either the community or acute setting or both including a minimum of 3 years NHS experience along with a keen desire to share and learn new knowledge to provide evidence-based practice.

To act as a specialist practitioner in the respiratory & oxygen service to deliver advanced holistic assessment, treatment, evaluation, and advice to patients with respiratory disease (COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease and Bronchiectasis) and those requiring oxygen assessment.



To act as an expert source for patients, their families and other healthcare professionals whilst working collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide the best care and support to patients and their families.



To provide a lead role and work closely with partner agencies and ICS in the promotion, development, and integration of respiratory services for patients locally.



Deliver and contribute to the development of the home oxygen assessment and review service (HOS-AR) in line with BTS & NICE guidance.The role will include planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating respiratory care daily in the community, acute hospital and clinic setting.
