Summary
Patient Safety Officer- Band 7
Permanent - 37.5 hours
The Patient Safety Team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a Patient Safety Officer.
You will need demonstrable experience of working in an NHS environment in either a clinical or non-clinical role, and will have excellent communication skills with the ability to produce written reports to a high standard.
As part of the role you will be expected to communicate sensitive information with patients and their families during times of distress. You will engage with clinical staff from a wide range of professional backgrounds, with proven strong analytical skills and the ability to apply appropriate professional curiosity.
This is an exciting time to join the Patient Safety Team as we begin to embed the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) across the Trust. Whilst this is busy and demanding role, there is great opportunity for learning and development

The post holder will be one of the team of senior leaders within the Nursing and Integrated Governance Unit who will collectively have the responsibility for enabling corporate compliance with the national requirements and standards set by the Commissioners, Care Quality Commission and other regulators. The post holder will provide leadership and professional advice to managers and staff within the Trust on incident investigation and patient safety in line with PSIRF
