Quality and Standards Administrator

(Ref: BU03836)

Grade 5: £26,942 - £29,959

Play a key role in supporting the quality and enhancement of learning and teaching at Bangor University.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Quality & Standards Administrator to join our Quality and Standards team within the University’s Registry, on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team helping to ensure that our academic programmes meet the highest standards and that opportunities for further enhancement are well supported.

As a Quality & Standards Administrator, you will provide administrative support for a wide range of activities related to quality assurance and enhancement, including helping to organise key events such as the University’s annual CELT (Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching) conference, supporting peer observation processes, and assisting with academic quality procedures as required. The role involves liaison with academic staff, professional services, and external stakeholders, as well as maintaining accurate records and updating webpages and internal resources. During busy periods, you’ll also support the wider Quality and Standards team with essential administrative tasks, helping to ensure smooth service delivery across the University.

We’re looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and is able to communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders. You will be confident using Microsoft Office and will enjoy working as part of a team whilst also being comfortable managing their own workload. You should be educated to GCSE level or NVQ level III in an appropriate subject (e.g. Customer Service or Business Administration) or possess equivalent experience. Previous experience of working within an office /administrative environment is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this role.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview. Applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.

Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by emailing hrassistants@bangor.ac.uk.

Closing date for applications: 18 February, 2026.
