Summary
We are currently seeking an Asphalt Supervisor based at our Longwater Asphalt Plant in Norwich.
In the role, you will be responsible for supporting the Asphalt Plant Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Plant. This role will be based on a 48 hour contract.
You will support managing production, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning and coordination with other departments. Awareness of the time critical nature of the process and downstream activities is advantageous.
Shift patterns may vary based on a range of factors, including current workloads, customer requirements, and business demands. Depending on operational needs, shifts may be adjusted to ensure efficient coverage, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of service. Additionally, seasonal fluctuations, special projects, or unforeseen circumstances may also influence scheduling. Breedon may implement flexible, rotating, or staggered shift patterns to accommodate these changes while balancing employee well-being and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Safety will comprise a key element of the role, you might also be required to conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and to demonstrate leadership in safety.
An important element of the role will involve administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.
An ability to plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion is critical.
