Permanent Room Leader – Nursery North Leigh, Oxfordshire, £14.43 per hour 4 days a week and no weekends!
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate early years professional to join a well-established nursery in North Leigh, Oxfordshire, as a permanent Room Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys leading a room, supporting children’s development, and being part of a supportive and rewarding workplace. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding early years care and education, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and care are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
As a Room Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting your room team to deliver high-quality early years care and education, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning, development, and well-being
Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
Ensuring safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are always followed, maintaining a safe and secure environment for children
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Early Years Practitioner, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above), such as a Diploma in Childcare and Education or a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies
A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach, with strong leadership and communication skills
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as this is essential for the role
