This position is a temporary part time (80% FTE) post working in the Department of Psychology.

Duties will include full leadership and where appropriate, management other staff for the creation, development, piloting and early implementation of the Welsh language programme ‘Read to Learn’ for use in secondary schools.

Candidates should be educated either to PhD standard (or equivalent in the teaching professions) and have previous experience as a literacy lead at the school and Local Authority level (or other evidence of senior leadership in local government in the field of language and literacy.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post. The ability to communicate – including high-level writing skills – in Welsh is essential for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
