A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team at a thriving practice in Doncaster. With a team of eight experienced vets, including medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging certificate holders, you’ll always have expert support and encouragement to develop your skills. The practice operates across two sites, including a recently refurbished branch and a main hospital, ensuring access to excellent facilities and a varied, rewarding caseload.

This role is perfectly suited to someone who has completed their VetGDP and is confident performing routine surgeries, but the specifics of the position can be tailored to your interests. Surgical enthusiasts will enjoy opportunities to perform cruciate and patella repairs, laparoscopic procedures, and BOAS surgery, while those with a passion for medicine can work with an impressive range of diagnostic equipment, including Imagyst, ultrasound, dental radiography, endoscopy, and i-STAT, allowing most cases to be managed in-house. Hospital shifts offer a mix of in-patient care, emergency cases, and standard consult and surgical days, while the rota can be tailored for those who enjoy a variety across all areas.

The practice also works closely with VetsNow for out-of-hours cover, ensuring in-patients are well cared for overnight by their dedicated hospital team. You’ll join a collaborative, flexible environment where professional development is actively supported, with opportunities to expand your surgical or medical expertise according to your ambitions.

Located in Doncaster, this role offers the perfect balance of professional and personal life. With excellent transport links, nearby countryside for outdoor activities, and a vibrant town centre with restaurants, shopping, and cultural events, it’s an ideal location for both career growth and lifestyle!Top of FormBottom of Form
