An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly independent, privately owned veterinary group in Berkshire with a remarkable heritage spanning over 150 years!

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will be part of a friendly, experienced, and supportive team, working within a practice that boasts a very high standard of facilities and cutting edge equipment. The role is varied and rewarding, encompassing small animal consultations, medical treatments, routine and general surgery, and participation in emergency and out-of-hours cover on a shared rota. There is also the opportunity, on occasion, to be involved with large animal work, adding further diversity to the caseload.
This is a position for a confident, well organised Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Clinical excellence is at the heart of the role, alongside clear communication, accurate clinical records, and proactive client updates. You’ll play an important part in supervising and supporting support staff, managing client expectations with transparency, and contributing to the smooth, professional running of the practice. Continuous professional development is actively encouraged and supported.
The practice is ideally suited to a motivated individual with post qualification experience in small animal practice, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a busy environment. A full driving licence is required, and a collaborative, enthusiastic approach is essential for thriving within this close knit team.
