About the Role
As a Campus Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, welfare, and smooth running of the college environment. You will interact daily with students, staff, and visitors - helping maintain a welcoming, secure, and well-managed campus.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide a visible and approachable presence across the campus
· Support with safeguarding and student wellbeing, following college procedures
· Ensure the site remains safe, orderly, and compliant with health & safety guidelines
· Respond to incidents, emergencies, and behaviour-related situations professionally
· Monitor access points, visitor entry, and general campus activity
· Work closely with pastoral teams, curriculum leads, and college management
· Complete reports and escalate concerns where appropriate
Requirements
· Previous experience in a similar role (Campus Officer, Security Officer, Pastoral/Student Support, or similar)
· Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and rapport-building skills
· Ability to remain calm, professional, and assertive when needed
· Understanding of safeguarding procedures (training can be provided)
· Reliable, organised, and committed to supporting young people
· DBS on the Update Service is desirable
