Join Long Term Futures (LTF) in supporting a specialist Alternative Provision in Burton on Trent (DE11). This setting works with children and young people who require a more personalised approach to education, including pupils with SEMH, Autism, behavioural needs, and additional learning needs, many of whom have an EHCP.
The provision supports pupils across Primary and Secondary age ranges, focusing on re-engagement, structure, and positive behaviour strategies. We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support learners both academically and emotionally, helping them re-engage with education and reach their full potential.

- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Support pupils' academic progress alongside emotional wellbeing and personal development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and families to deliver personalised learning plans
- Contribute to behaviour management, de-escalation, and therapeutic support strategies
About You:
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Available to start ASAP
- Experience within SEN, Alternative Provision, PRUs, or youth support settings
- Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
- Calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider team
