Summary
Embedded within our emotional wellbeing hub, we are looking to recruit a project worker for our Girls@HOME programme, a new project supporting young women aged 16-25, to improve their mental health, to better understand themselves and make positive decisions about their future.
The project will offer both 121 and group work support for young women. Our holistic model and youth work approach means you will be able to support young women with a variety of needs which may include but not limited to:
Mental Health
Education
Employability
Healthy Relationships
Sexual Health
Abuse
Trauma
Family relationships
Raising aspirations
You will also ensure that young women are supportively signposted to wider support
services available in Barnsley.
The right candidate will need to have proven experience of working with young women of this age group and knowledge around mental health. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the stereotypical socialisation of young women in Barnsley, and the wider impact of misogyny on structural systems on a national level and its impact on young women.
They will be willing to work as part of our wellbeing programme team, supporting referral process and covering sessions as required.
