Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (on call: 1 week in 3)
Salary: £46,000 per annum
Benefits: pension plan, 28 days holidays increasing to 33 with service
My client is looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their small team near Cambridge. The right candidate will be responsible for maintenance of all equipment including rice milling and packing equipment, while conducting preventative maintenance, reactive service and repair work, diagnosing and resolving issues and updating documentation.
Further tasks include:
- Undertake planned maintenance as directed by the engineering manager or team leader
- Carry out site maintenance
- Fabricate spare parts for equipment using lathe, mill and welding activities
- Work with the Operations Teams to offer engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements
- Correctly fault find on electrical control and power systems
- Perform repairs on pneumatics, motors, pumps, conveyors
Requirements:
- Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) - ideally both electrical and mechanical)
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
- Experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment
