Summary
Are you an experienced English teacher or classroom professional looking for immediate work covering classes across schools in the Brandon / Suffolk area?
Orion Recruitment Solutions Group is recruiting English Teachers and Cover Supervisors for fixed-term roles starting ASAP until July. You will support local schools by delivering high-quality English lessons, supervising classes when teachers are absent, and helping ensure continuity of learning for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned English lessons and classroom activities to pupils across Key Stages as required
Supervise classes during planned and unplanned teacher absence, ensuring students remain focused and productive
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement, progress and behaviour
Support wider school initiatives and contribute positively to the school environment
About You
We’re looking for candidates who:
Have experience teaching English or supervising classes in a school setting
Can confidently manage pupils and maintain a positive learning environment
Are flexible, reliable and able to work across different schools and age groups
Hold an Enhanced DBS or are willing to obtain one (required)
Desirable (but not essential):
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Prior experience in cover supervision or English teaching roles
