YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the hotel to the satisfaction of all guests needs
The night audit is completed to fulfil all audit and statistical information requirements for the hotel.
To ensure the security of hotel guests/whole hotel and to provide services for hotel guests.
Ensure all monies for the payment of services are accounted for using the correct company procedure
Be conversant with all front office systems of operation – Opera, Marsha, Opera S&C, Micros etc.
Maintenance of all control systems and ensure all revenue is correctly charged and monies are securely kept
Effectively and efficiently manage the operation of Nights at the Hotel
Develop the night team and actively coach on customer care skills, department procedures etc.
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for employees.
Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance
Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
Manage team members ensuring day-to-day tasks are carried out to the required standards
Liaise daily with all departments and deal appropriately with any maintenance issues raised, giving priority to those issues which compromise Health & Safety procedures if any are found to be faulty
Ensure all team members have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained
Establish a friendly and helpful attitude to all guests and staff
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
Minimum 1- 2 years previous experience of a management role
Experience from an internationally recognised branded hotel is desired
Knowledge of hotel security, emergency procedures, FLS and crisis management
Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards.
A service attitude that exceeds expectations
A comprehensive understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
The desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through on-going training
An ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries
