Summary
Key responsibilities
•Working undivided and diligently to affect all kinds of repairs (including suspension and engine related) to all makes and models re: cars and light commercials.
•Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
•Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.
• Perform inspections, identify worn or damaged components, and recommend necessary repairs.
•Repair or replace engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems.
Skills required
Time served experience of working in a similar garage workshop capacity
•Experience of dealing directly with customers and costing / production of invoices.
•Advanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
•Vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance expertise.
•Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
•Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, and steering systems.
•Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.
