A home, not just a service
Bradbury House is a unique and exceptional nursing facility catering to 24 individuals with a diverse range of complex physical disabilities and sensory impairments. Our residents may have conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) resulting from accidents or strokes, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, and more. The home boasts an array of amenities and services, including access to the local community, a sensory garden and room, beauty therapy options, pet therapy, and a rich variety of engaging activities. Bradbury House is only care home in the area for young people with complex physical disabilities and maintaining a person-centred approach. Your working hours
This is a part-time role, working 11 hours per week.
You will be working a mixture of early shifts 7am - 1pm or 8am - 1pm, late shifts 1pm - 6pm and weekend shifts 10am - 6pm.

What you’ll do
• Assist with preparation and cooking of meals in line with menus and dietary needs
• Serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable mealtime
• Support the maintenance of high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, following HACCP and COSHH regulations
• Work closely with care teams and customers to provide suitable menus
• Follow individual customer risk assessments, supporting specific needs such as dysphagia or mobility
• Use kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or supply needs
• Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings as required
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as requested by your line manager
What helps you shine here
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to work towards this)
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is advantageous
• Ability to work flexibly within rostered hours
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Understanding of safe food handling and hygiene practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
