Job Title: Early Years Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 / Level 3)
Location: Braintree, Essex
Hours: Full time | Shifts between 8:00am – 6:00pm
An exciting opportunity has become available for a committed and caring Nursery Practitioner to join a well-established early years setting in Braintree. This is a full-time position, with working hours scheduled between 8:00am and 6:00pm, ideal for someone seeking consistency and long-term progression within the early years sector.
The setting is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop confidence through play and learning.
Essential Qualifications & RequirementsTo be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role, applicants must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, including (but not limited to):

CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce

NVQ Level 2/3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

Early Years Educator (EYE)
You will also be required to:

Have sound knowledge of the EYFS framework

Understand safeguarding and child protection procedures

Demonstrate a warm, patient, and professional approach

Work effectively as part of a team and independently
Role Overview & ResponsibilitiesAs a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in children’s early development by:

Supporting the emotional, social, and educational development of children aged 0–5

Delivering stimulating activities that support learning through play

Observing, assessing, and documenting children’s progress

Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-organised environment

Communicating effectively with parents and carers

Following nursery policies, safeguarding, and health & safety guidelines
