Crynodeb
The post holder will have some leadership and management responsibilities and contribute to teaching across a range of modules, providing high quality high quality learning experiences, assessment, supervision, and academic support to students. They will play a key role in course leadership, curriculum development, and ensuring the effective delivery of programmes. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, participating in examination boards, contributing to recruitment activities, and engaging in quality assurance processes such as moderation and external examiner liaison. The role also involves active engagement in research and scholarship, contributing to ongoing projects, developing academic outputs, and maintaining continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will hold (or be committed to undertaking) a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrate a clear commitment to ongoing professional development, including gaining Fellowship of the HEA within two years if not already held. They will have substantial experience of teaching within our educational fields at degree level, with a strong understanding of current policy and practice, and experience supporting students within higher education. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and external organisations and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, including the ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in blended and e learning approaches is required. An enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
