Summary

The Opportunity
Please note, the successful candidate can also work from central London offices. This role offers the chance to play a central part in one of the UK's largest low?carbon megaprojects, with the Civils engineering scope being a critical component of its success. The position has arisen due to major programme expansion and the increasing technical and contractual demands associated with a nationally significant infrastructure project.
You will act as the key interface between the client’s engineering, programme and governance teams and the Civils contractor ensuring design and engineering outputs are delivered on time, to budget, and in line with stringent nuclear?industry requirements.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

- Lead delivery of the Civils scope under the Nuclear Services Agreement (NSA)
- Own and manage the full Civils contractual scope end-to-end
- Manage Early Warnings, Compensation Events, risks, and Variations
- Provide cost analysis, challenge, and approval for Task Orders or additional scope
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet configuration/replication rules
- Drive consistency across engineering and programme packages
- Coordinate inputs from internal review & acceptance teams
- Build strong links across engineering integration, contractor discipline leads, and internal project teams
- Represent the Civils scope across meetings, governance sessions, and reporting forums
- Track and report schedule, technical, financial, and performance metrics
- Capture impacts to baselines and contributes to monthly reporting cycles.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

- Experience on major infrastructure projects (nuclear experience preferred)
- Strong contract management and technical governance capability
- Ability to handle complex issues and operate effectively in ambiguity
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
- Proficient MS Office skills; proactive problem-solving approach

It’s great if you also have the following

- PMI or equivalent project management qualification
- Knowledge of nuclear standards, EPR design, and civil engineering
- Understanding of commercial aspects of major projects
- French language capability or experience working on EPR?type projects
- Experience tendering for design, manufacturing or installation contracts
- Chartered or working toward chartership
- A continuous?improvement mindset with proactive challenge.
