Summary
We are currently recruiting a Class 2 (Category C) Driver for a well-established client based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role offering excellent pay rates, bonuses, and additional allowances.
Pay Rates & Benefits- Basic rate: £16.34 per hour
- Overtime: £20.90 per hour (paid after 8 hours each day)
- Saturday rate: £20.90 per hour (all day)
- Bank Holidays:
- 8 hours paid at basic rate
- Plus £20.90 per hour for all hours worked
- Night out allowance: £26.20 per night
- Night start bonus: £20 bonus for shifts starting between 7pm and 5am
- Expenses covered:
- Breakfast and dinner paid for
- Coffee and snack from services during breaks
- Delivery of eggs to sites across the UK
- Manual loading and unloading of deliveries
- Washing out vehicles after every delivery
- Following strict biosecurity protocols
- Occasional work within the hatchery to make up hours when driving work is not available
- National coverage means some nights out are required, typically no more than 1-2 per week (some weeks may have none)
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Willing to carry out non-driving duties as required
- Reliable, flexible, and able to follow biosecurity and hygiene standards
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
