- Deliver engaging and age‑appropriate lessons across the KS1 curriculum using provided plans
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a diverse range of learning needs
- Assess and record pupil progress when required
- Work collaboratively with school staff to support whole‑school objectives
- Contribute to wider school life during longer‑term placements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early primary pedagogy
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexible and adaptable across varied school environments
- Positive, nurturing, and child‑centred approach to teaching
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
